How it works

  1. 1. Tell us about the property

A few details through the form. It takes about a minute.

  2. 2. We match you with an electrician

We pass your enquiry to a qualified electrician covering your area, who confirms a fixed price and a time.

  3. 3. They inspect and report

You get a digital EICR within 24 hours of the visit, with anything urgent flagged.

What the inspection covers

An electrical installation condition report is a full test of the fixed wiring in a property: the consumer unit, circuits, sockets, switches and earthing arrangements. A qualified electrician carries out the electrical testing and records anything found against the classification codes set out in BS 7671, the UK wiring regulations. The electrician who attends is qualified to carry out that testing and issues the certificate.

  • C1Danger presentA risk of injury exists right now. We make it safe on the visit and tell you immediately.
  • C2Potentially dangerousNo immediate danger, but it could become dangerous. A C2 makes the installation unsatisfactory and must be put right.
  • C3Improvement recommendedNot dangerous and does not fail the report. Worth addressing when convenient.
  • FIFurther investigationSomething needs looking at more closely before it can be classified.

An installation passes when no C1 or C2 items are found. If your property does need remedial electrical work, it is quoted separately and you are free to use anyone you like. The EICR certificate is issued as a digital PDF once the inspection is complete.
