Who we are
EICR Certification Network operates this website. We arrange electrical inspections and electrical work with qualified contractors covering Chelmsford. We do not carry out the work ourselves.
We are the data controller for the details you send us. Our address for correspondence is 49 Henniker Gate, Chelmsford CM2 6SD, United Kingdom.
What we collect
When you submit the quote form we collect only what that form asks for:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- The address of the property to be inspected
- The service you need and the type of property
- Anything you choose to write in the additional details box
We also record which of our sites the enquiry came from, and the date and time. We do not ask for payment details at any point, and you should never send them through this form.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use these details for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and arrange the work you asked about. Our lawful basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell them.
Who we share it with
To arrange your inspection we pass your enquiry to an electrician covering your area. They need your name, contact details and the property address in order to quote and attend. They act as a separate data controller for the work they then carry out with you.
Your enquiry is stored using Supabase, our database provider, on servers in London, and the site is hosted by Vercel. Both act as processors on our instructions. We do not share your details with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for two years so we can handle follow-up questions, disputes and repeat work, then delete them. If you ask us to delete your details sooner we will, unless we are required to keep them.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and does not use analytics that profile you. Nothing on the site requires a cookie banner because we do not place non-essential cookies.
