What this service is
EICR Certification Network operates this website. We take enquiries for electrical work and pass them to an electrician covering Chelmsford. We are not an electrical contractor and we do not carry out inspections, issue certificates or perform electrical work.
Who your contract is with
If you accept a quote, your contract for that work is with the electrician, not with us. They are responsible for the work, the certificate they issue, their own insurance and their own compliance. We are responsible for passing your enquiry on accurately and promptly.
Quotes and prices
Prices are confirmed by the electrician after they have the property details. Nothing on this site is a binding offer or a guaranteed price. Timescales given on this site, including report turnaround, describe what we normally expect and are not guarantees.
Using this site
Please give accurate details when you enquire: an electrician may travel to the address you provide. Do not use the form to send payment details, and do not submit enquiries on someone else’s behalf without telling us.
Information on this site
Guidance here about EICRs, inspection intervals and classification codes is general information, not advice about your specific property. It reflects our understanding of the current regulations, but you should rely on the electrician who inspects your installation rather than on this site.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected. Beyond that, our liability relates to the introduction service we provide, not to the electrical work itself.
Complaints
Raise issues about the work with the electrician first, since the contract is with them. If that does not resolve it, or your complaint is about how we handled your enquiry, email info@eicrchelmsford.co.uk.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
