About EICR Certification Network
We are not an electrical contractor. We run a group of local websites that take enquiries for electrical work and pass them to electricians who cover that area. It is worth knowing that up front, because it changes what you should expect from us.
What we do
You tell us about the property once. We pass that to an electrician covering Chelmsford, who confirms a fixed price and a time directly with you. You are not committed to anything until you accept their quote.
What we do not do
- We do not inspect properties or issue certificates. The attending electrician does both.
- We do not take payment. You pay the electrician directly.
- We do not sell your details to anyone. They go to one electrician, to answer your enquiry.
How we are paid
The electrician pays us a fee for work that comes through us. You pay the same price whether you find them through this site or approach them directly, and the fee does not change what your inspection costs.
Who carries out the work
Electrical installation condition reports must be carried out by someone competent to do them, and are assessed against BS 7671, the UK wiring regulations. The electrician who attends is qualified to carry out that testing and to issue the certificate. Ask us before you book and we will confirm the registration and insurance details for the contractor attending your property.

If something goes wrong
Your contract for the work itself is with the electrician, so raise faults or disputes about the inspection with them first. If you cannot resolve it, or if the problem is with how we handled your enquiry, contact us at info@eicrchelmsford.co.uk and we will take it up.
